We previously were committed customers of Cooper Reading. When Andrew Barker left to go to Dick Lovett, the service and 'speed of response' from Cooper collapsed! We followed Andrew to DL, and between him and Jacob McEwen, service has been 5 star.
Was seen straight away
Sadly the new bumper protector skin when fitted contained air pockets, which was disappointing. The dealer offered to make no charge for fitting but the work was far from 100% for the item I had paid for
Long waiting times for service, poo valet service - annoying visible muddy water stains inside front speaker casing, no call back with valuation of my vehicle, good refreshments whilst waiting
this one time there was a failure to wash and valet the car.
See above, however somewhat ameliorated by compensation. It would appear that BMW was hesitant to commit to replace the parts requested by the service engineer.
Car booked in for a service and MoT. Turn up at 08:15 and the garage was very busy and that they were not expecting me to wait. Car was dealt with at 11:30, returned unwashed, service warning set but it has come up again for a service in June.

Fault rectified on first visit
The fault was identified immediately and rectified as soon as was practically possible. Front brake discs etc. are quite expensive- but I felt I was being charged reasonably.

I was somewhat mislead buy an adviser, she clearly didnt really understand how things work and insisted that I didnt need an appointment which resulted in a waisted journey and a further weeks delay.
The servicing was swift and efficient but expensive. (Car was only 18 months old and yet I had to spend c.£400 on a service). Where you let yourself down was when I telephoned to arrange the service, the lady on the phone was frosty and inflexible.

It took 3 visits to get my PDC failure resolved. Service people are very helpful. Parking is terrible
Customer Service was good when I took it in for its end of warranty check/MOT/Service.
With previous cars serviced at main dealers the car has always been valeted. Not on this occassion. Not that important but a nice touch.
Service Department in my experience has always been first rate. Attentive, polite, keen and straightforward.

1) Issues with billing. Several phone calls needed to resolve..2) Just 3K miles after service, front tyres were below legal limit (1.5mm). They must have been close at time of service but this was not highlighted.3) Service indicator was not reset.
Just frustrated that because my service was 1000 miles late , its now been highlighted on my service history , which could effect my warranty

I have very inconsistent service, some things are dealt with very well. But others seem like the dealership just doesn't care or cant be bothered. Especially if the request is not the usual run of the mill stuff.

The service aspect of the work was great, but my car wasnt washed as promised and I found paintwork damage on collection. I emailed the dealership and got no response.
I dropped in with my car regarding a bubble on a tire and was told that it could be changed that day I asked for it to be ready by 4 after dropping off at 12.30, I had to wait until nearly 4.30 for it to be ready
Excellent all round. Would and should have got 5 stars if the MOT document was mess-up a bit where I asked for MOT not to have anything stapled to it, including the emissions test paper. This was agreed at book-in but then forgotten!

I always deal with Dick Lovett Hungerford and in particular Paul Doel, who is always aware of my particular requirements such as Protect X etc.
Not enough petrol in the car to get me home. Overall experience very good but slightly tainted by having to drive out of the showroom, straight into a petrol station. Must be enough margin in a 6 Series to warrant a tank of petrol? v good otherwise.
